8 students from ISM University, Dhanbad participated in the PETROTECH-2009, 8th International Oil & Gas Conference held at New-Delhi from 12th Jan,2009 to 15th Jan,2009.

In the Academia Industry interface, Paper-Presentation competition was held between different Petrotech Chapters throughout the country and the theme of the competition was "Energy Indepedence with Global Cooperation: Challenges and Solutions".

Petrotech Chapter, ISMU ,Dhanbad won the first prize in the competition.
