Hey, there really a cheerful news that Electronics For You of June '09 has ranked the Electronics deptt. of ISMU 2nd in East India . Only IIT KGP is above us in this catagory. 3rd,4th and 5th ranks are grabbed by IIT Guwahati, Jadhavpur University and BESU Kolkata Respectively. Another delightful point in this ranking is that it is based purely on the feedback from core Electronics Industry in India. So, may be we at present don't have core companies for campus selections but in industry our future is bright as I expect !!

WE can also have the xerox of this ranking and send it to companies,especially public secors n govt.like ISRO,BHEL,BEL,EIL...so that they may know electronics exists in ism n they may look after coming for placements this year only...for ur info these companies visit even simple NITs for a very long time....something is to be done by us...since we r 52 n i m not optimistic about our matiyao placement cell to hav all or us placed

well.......i have just one word to say....."STRANGE"....i guess that sums up everything...... Siddharth tun kyun placements ki tension kar raha hai....aaram se GRE de...9 pointer ka kuch toh laabh utha......kyun apni gpa ki is 3-4 lakh ki job ke liye waat laga raha hai??? gre pe focus kar......hum jaisn ke liye rehne de yeh choti moti placements......

I totally agree to sukhi "STRANGE" isn't it.On what kind of feeling they hav graced electronics of ismu with such better ranks? aur bhai sukhi mujhe gre nahi karna bhai...mujhe b.tech karna hain aur ek naukri paani hain tension free wali....

chalo yaar kisi bhi magazine me sahi.......but humari rank toh achhi hai........................
lekin the point is how come companies gave feedback about us if they dont have our guys there...(i know there r a few) n i mean core electronics......
abe pj kitne khilaye tune EFY ko.....

lagta hai sparx ka kamal hai....Electronics for U mein ad bhi aaya tha na sparx ka (if i remember correctly).....usi ka kamaal hai lagta.....heehhehe...just joking @ apurv... i dont get excited with figures or no.... ground reality pata hai sabko...in news se dil behla ke fayda kya...itna hi highly rate kartin hain agar companies, then the scenario wud have been different......

@sukhi what do u mean by "sabko".. everything is decided by figures and no.. ism apni branding to kerta nahi.... so is tarah ki news se companies ko pata chalega humare bare me.. nobody outside knows about "ground reality". Everyone believes what figures say. so i think this news is GOOD for all of us. This is my personal opinion.
